Did you go to Petsmart® on Saturday, November 28th to pick up your free bag of Nutrience Subzero™? I sure did! Nutrience was offering demos at Petsmart locations across Canada and if you brought in a bag of competitors grain-free food, you could trade it in for free for a bag of Nutrience Subzero!

I really do wish I could feed my kitties a raw diet. I know it’s the healthiest for them but there are obstacles in providing it to them. I’ve mentioned previously about just how inconvenient it would be for me simply due to cost and availability…but also, cats require a certain balance of nutrients and minerals that meat alone does not provide, so unless supplements are added in the correct amount, you could also be doing harm to your cat’s health. It’s a slippery slope and I understand why not everyone is willing to give the raw diet food a try.
Luckily though Nutrience has recently come out with Nutrience® Subzero, a brand new line of high quality food for cats and dogs! It’s like nothing else that is currently on the market. Nutrience® Subzero is a combination of grain-free kibble and freeze-dried protein that delivers the nutritional benefits of a raw diet in a convenient and easy to use format. I’ll be able to feed my cats the raw diet that I know is best for them without the need to ensure all nutrition requirements are met. Nutrience makes sure every recipe has exactly what my cats need…and what they don’t need!
So I stopped in to Petsmart on November 28th to pick up a bag of Nutrience Subzero in between dodgeball matches. I was participating in a charity dodgeball tournament to help raise funds for Movember! Luckily one of the few Petsmart locations in Nova Scotia is less than a five minute drive from my home. It was pretty busy much like it normally is on a Saturday and I popped into the Nutrience aisle…
Uh-oh….I didn’t see any Subzero on the shelves! Nooooo! A Petsmart employee just happened to pass me and probably noticed the look of despair on my face and asked if there was anything they could help me with. I mentioned to them that I was looking for Nutrience Subzero and she pointed behind me. Since it was a relatively new product, it wasn’t with the rest of the Nutrience line of foods yet! Phew!
They were nearly out of all of the small bags but with my herd, a small bag would only last a few days so the big bag is what I needed anyway! Since my cats have yet to disclose to me their favourite flavours, because really, they eat anything and everything, I opted for the Fraser Valley variety which is the poultry based recipe. I also managed not to smuggle out the three adorable puppies that I ran into while shopping. It took a lot of effort, they were so cuuuute…but I don’t think the kitties would have enjoyed them though. Ahhh well…maybe next time 😉
